Duration - 6/7 Hours

 

Walking Boots/Shoes are a must, you’ll be walking 6-7 hours and the ground under foot is uncertain in places.

(NO runners, converse, flip flops or sandles or any open foot wear)

Denim or jeans are not to be worn.Spare socks and clothes, dress warm and comfortable (better to have too many layers ) It will be 10 degrees cooler at the summit.

Waterproof/Windproof gear Sun Block (works for windburn too)

Good packed Lunch and Snacks

Hydration (Water)

Children aged 13 and over are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.

Dogs are not permitted on this Hike.

At Cronin's Yard at 9.15am, walk starts at 9.30am

  • Walkers must follow the advice of all Guides at all times.
  • No runners/sandals or wellingtons to be worn, appropriate hiking footwear ONLY.
  • Allow for all weather conditions, i.e. rain jacket and other waterproof clothes.
  • As all the MacGillycuddy Reeks are privately owned  lands, which are actively farmed,  we ask people to please bear this in mind.
